Holger Rune‘s coaching situation has made fans remember British tennis star Emma Raducanu’s case. Rune recently appointed Boris Becker as his coach. However, Becker announced that he would step down from his role due to other commitments. Now this situation has not only worried fans. People are linking Rune’s situation with Raducanu’s.

British tennis star Emma Raducanu had collaborated with many coaches. Previously this tennis prodigy’s coach Dmitry Tursunov decided to end their partnership after many disagreements. Before that Raducanu was under Torben Beltz’s guidance for full time. However, that also didn’t work too well. Now following Boris Becker leaving Holger Rune, fans can’t help but discuss similarities in the situation.

A reliable tennis source recently shared on their X (formerly Twitter) that Boris Becker will no longer work with Holger Rune. Sharing a picture of the duo, this source wrote- “Boris Becker has left the Holger Rune team, due to not being available as much as he would need to be, in order to make it a successful partnership.” It was only last October when the Six-time major winner coach returned to professional tennis to coach the Danish tennis prodigy. However, things didn’t work out well and the partnership ended within months.

Boris Becker commented- “We started this partnership with the initial goal to reach the ATP Finals (at the) end of last year but moving forward I realized that in order for this to be successful, I would need to be available for Holger much more than I can,” Becker’s statement raised concerns over Rune’s performance in upcoming tournaments.

Becker further concluded by saying- “Due to professional and private responsibilities, I can’t give Holger what he needs now. I wish him only the very best and I’m always going to be his n.1 fan. I truly appreciated this journey together.”

Fans roasted Holger Rune’s coaching situation distress by drawing similarities with Raducanu

After the source’s tweet, the whole social media was spotted flooded with comments. Fans wrote- “Holger having Emma syndrome.” Another fan expressed their concern by saying- “Another Raducanu?”

People spoke about how Rune and Raducanu went through the same situation- “Rune will compete with Emma for the player with most coaches left.” Fans raised concerns over the player’s stability. They said- “This is going to shxts. Stability is needed for a young talent. You see emma, stability cost her the last 2/3 years. It is concerning”

In a nutshell, fans felt Boris Becker left Rune in almost a similar situation to Emma RAducanu as they said- “Sounding like the male Raducanu. Wonder if it’s his Mommy who is making it difficult?”
