Australian Tennis Star Ajla Tomljanovic Urges Ukrainians to Have Faith

Croatian-Australian tennis player Ajla Tomljanovic is one of the notable players on the women’s tour. She has been playing some of her best tennis over the past season. She has an aggressive style of play and his the ball neatly from the baseline.

However, there have been bigger things such as the war between Russia and Ukraine that have caught the attention of Tomljanovic. She urges and has motivated individuals of Ukraine to remain strong and maintain unity in these times.

Ajla Tomljanovic urges people to come out strong 

Ajla condemns the violence that is going about in the world at this point in time. She hopes and wants people to come out stronger. One must now bow down to the effects of the actions taking place in Ukraine. 

Speaking on this subject, she stated, “There are senseless acts of violence occurring in our world every day but we must not become numb to the pain and suffering of those born in unluckier situations than us. I stand with the people of Ukraine for their strength and unity in such unimaginable times. There is power in numbers and I hope we can focus on sharing the best thing we have to offer each other  – love.”

Coming to tennis, Tomljanovic had a great season last year. She registered her best performance on the Tour as far as certain Grand Slam events were concerned.

She began the year competing at the Australian Open and came as far as the second round. Later at the French Open, she came to the second round before ending her journey.

At the Wimbledon Championships, she reached the quarterfinal which was her best result in a Major so far. She ended the year by making it to the fourth round of the US Open.

Coming to the present season, she crashed out in the opening round of the Australian Open. We are still in the early days and wish her the best of luck for the rest of the season.
