pro-wrestling journalist
Anuj Jacob is a pro-wrestling journalist at EssentiallySports. Anuj holds a B.Sc. in psychology and comes from a background in print journalism and creative writing. As an active pro-wrestler, commentator, and announcer, this wrestling aficionado has a vocabulary in the sport like no other.
Anuj’s vivid articulation of the beauty of this sport is brought to the fore with his commentary on the ever-changing dynamic of wrestling storytelling and the ever-growing separation between fiction and reality. Don’t be surprised if he’s rambling about how black and gold NXT was as good as wrestling gets or if he makes a compelling case for why Samoa Joe is the most complete modern wrestler. When not writing wrestling media, he draws inspiration from comic books, animation, and video games. He balances his appetite for violence with table-top board games on Sundays.
