Varunkumaar Chelladurai is a Senior Editor and the Lead Editor of the Learning and Development wing at EssentiallySports. His journey at ES started with him heading the Formula 1 division and was on the desk for all the live race coverages. His body of work is centered on fundamentals such as journalistic excellence, writer and editor mentorship and creation of training modules. Apart from understanding his readers with a bull’s eye precision across different sports, Varunkumaar now, as the L&D LE, actively takes the lead in several development initiatives launched by the wing, which also includes onboarding writers and editors. Varunkumaar’s ethics push him not just toward understanding layered truths and nuances, but most importantly, ensuring the growth of the writers and editors under his belt. Away from his professional pursuits, Varunkumaar Chelladurai is a cinephile and is an avid listener of country music. He is also a national-level Table Tennis player who can now be seen taking part in open tournaments on weekends.
