The two time Wimbledon semi-finalist has not played a match since she was forced to retire due to the same injury in her first round at Roland Garros. Vika was expected to be one of the top challengers this year after a brilliant start to 2016. Winning Miami and then beating Serena to win Indian Wells, she looked like her old self- when she was the world number one. We hope the double Australian Open champion gets back on the court soon.

After the 2017 Wimbledon, Victoria Azarenka and her then-boyfriend, Billy McKeague, were involved in a dispute over the custody of their son Leo.

As a result of the long custody battle, her tennis career took a backseat. She was even forced to withdraw from all tournaments in 2017.
