Along with the 26-year-old, Wang Qiang, who routed the Spaniard, Garbine Muguruza in straight sets to reach the final. Barty defeated the Chinese Wang Qiang, 6-3, 6-4 in final of the Hengqin Life WTA Elite Trophy in Qiang’s home country. She dominated throughout the WTA final to pull off the third title of her career in China. Also, she bags $2.35 million from the tournament for the 12 best-ranked players who failed to qualify for the WTA Finals.
