Golden State Warriors are off to an incredible start this season as they registered their fifth win of the season. Draymond Green was the star of the game against the Thunder as he scored 14 points and registered 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Green has been with the Warriors since 2012, but reportedly Blazers star Damian Lillard wants to bring him to Portland.

Draymond Green has spent his entire NBA career with the Warriors. During his tenure, he has won three championships and even won the Defensive Player of the Year in 2017. He has been known in the NBA for his versatility and his ability to create plays for his teammates.

Sharpshooter Stephen Curry has flourished alongside Green over the years. While Curry and Thompson got the credits for scoring, Green has been the one who provided the fire, that the team harnessed. However, according to recent reports, Damian Lillard admires Green’s gameplay and wants him in Portland.

Blazers star Damian Lillard wants Draymond Green in Portland

According to a recent report, Portland Trail Blazers love Draymond Green’s profile. They would like to have him in Portland. In fact, Damian Lillard is also keen on bringing Green to the Blazers. In a recent podcast, NBA journalist Anthony Slater has talked about Draymond Green’s situation.

“The Blazers would love to have him. (Damian) Lillard has been obsessed with getting him there for a while,” Slater said on the HoopsHype podcast.

“Late last season, they went 15-5 down the stretch, and they went small without Wiseman, which fits Draymond. His foot healed, his conditioning was back, the stakes were back. Green kind of needs high-stakes basketball to care. He always kind of stinks when his team stinks because he just stops caring.”

Portland Trail Blazers have had a rough start to the season as they are 3-4 in the league right now. They’ve lost their last two games, both on the road. However, Lillard has been amazing for them this season so far.

Draymond Green has been linked to trade with several teams so far in the past few months. Blazers are a team that is keeping their eyes on the 31-year-old. Lillard would also like to work with Green in Portland. In fact, there were several rumors during the off-season regarding Lillard’s departure. However, he chose to stay in Portland.
