Many regard Kobe Bryant as one of the greatest players of all time. However, NBA championships are never won alone and Kobe had some talented teammates with him during his career. During his early days in the NBA, he played alongside Shaquille O’Neal and later he found his partner in Pau Gasol.

Kobe and Pau Gasol spent over six seasons alongside each other. During those six seasons, they helped the Lakers in winning two championships. The Lakers became a dominant force during the late 2000s and won two back-to-back championships.

“And there we were, just going about our business, when a good-looking woman appeared, ‘I just saw a Michael Jordan.’ He was there doing a set of chest exercises and I said, ‘Pau, Kobe Bryant!’ And he asked, ‘Blonde or Brunette.’ I said, ‘Kobe Bryant!!’ ‘Pepe, are you drunk man, I’m asking you.'”

It was a crazy reaction from Gasol.

He used to play for FC Barcelona Basquet at that time. He spent three years with the Catalan basketball club and left the Spanish Liga for the NBA in 2001. After seven seasons with the Grizzlies, who drafted him, he joined the Lakers in 2008. Pau won two NBA championships in LA alongside Kobe. He then ended his career in Spain with his boyhood club, Barcelona.
