Six-time NBA champion Michael Jordan is one of the greatest and successful players of all time. He has been very successful off the court as well after his retirement from the game. Apart from basketball, Michael Jordan is a huge fan of golf. He enjoys playing the game and follows it from time to time. Jordan is currently attending the Ryder Cup, a competition he hasn’t missed since 1997.

Ryder Cup is a biennial golf competition between teams from the United States and Europe. The 2021 edition of the cup is happening between 24th September to 26th.

Jordan’s love for golf is clearly visible and when it comes to the iconic Ryder Cup, the love grows exponentially. Jordan recently talked about his love for the competition. He also revealed where he would like to play if he was on the team for the Ryder Cup.

Michael Jordan loves playing on the road

Michael Jordan and Stephen Curry recently sat down and talked about their love for the game of golf and the Ryder Cup. During the talks, Jordan also revealed to Curry where he would prefer to play if he was on the Ryder Cup team.

“I love playing on the road,” Jordan said.

“And it seems as though your concentration level is much, much better. You know that you’re not expected to win so that you can have the opportunity to prove the unknown. And a lot of times when you play at home, you let your hair down, you get relaxed. You see boyfriend, friends; you see more family. Yeah, worried about tickets, you got to worry about so many other different things. So I always love playing on the road. So it minimizes my thought process and I can focus on my craft.”

The United States is the most successful team in the Ryder Cup history with 26 wins and 14 losses in 42 matches. However, in the previous edition of the Cup, Europe emerged as the winner with a score of 17½–10½. United States’ team features Collin Morikawa, Dustin Johnson, and Patrick Cantlay, among others.

Michael Jordan and Stephen Curry are clearly enjoying this weekend full of golf. Jordan has previously engaged in some friendly wagers with his friends and former teammates on the golf course. Curry, however, has played with some of the stars of the game in the past, including Phil Mickelson. It’s always cool to see two basketball greats sit together and have a chat.
