New York Knicks may not have been a top side in the NBA this season, but they’ve been incredible since the All-Star break. The Knicks are currently on a 3-game-winning run in the league. While NY fans must have been enjoying the recent victories, a piece of recent news left them in disbelief. 22-year-old Knicks star Cam Reddish is set to miss the entire 2021-22 season due to injury.

Cam Reddish hasn’t been at the top of his game this season, but he was incredible post-All-Star break. Now when the Knicks started to bounce back, he will not be available for the team this season. The Knicks won their 2nd straight game against Sacramento Kings but lost their star forward for the rest of the season.

Reddish started the game vs. Kings on the bench. However, he fell during the game and injured his shoulder. NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported that he will need six weeks to recover, which means he is out for the rest of the season. This is bad news for the franchise and the fans, who started to dream about the play-in tournament.

The 22-year-old forward joined the Knicks earlier this year as a part of the trade from Atlanta Hawks. Reddish made his Knicks debut just 10 days after joining them. He has been in incredible form since joining the 2-time champions.

He will be eligible for a rookie contract extension in the coming summer. If he would have stayed fit by then, his representatives would have negotiated the contract extension based on his performance. However, now he is working on his recovery and will be determined to bounce back next season.
