LeBron James is a living legend of the game and holds many NBA records, which are hard to break for future generations. LeBron has played 15 playoffs in his 18-year-old NBA career. He holds the record for most playoff games played in NBA history (266).

Last season, he qualified for the 15th playoff of his career with the Los Angeles Lakers; however, it was a season to forget for LeBron as the 4-time NBA champion lost in the first round of the playoffs for the first time in his career.

It was a horrendous season for the Lakers as the team struggled with injuries throughout the season. They lost to the Suns in six games in the first round of the playoffs. It was also the first time in LeBron’s career that he didn’t lead his team in both the points and assist stats.

Dennis Schroder surpassed LeBron James in total assists for the Lakers last season

Dennis Schroder trumped LeBron in the assist stat. Dennis Schroder had 351 assists last season from 61 regular-season games. LeBron, on the other side, had 350 assists in the regular season, just one less than Schroder. James led the most points list last season. In fact, James led the assists list when both regular and post-season are combined.

LeBron James managed a total of 386 assists in both regular season and playoffs last season. While Dennis Schroder had a total of 369 assists in both the regular season and the playoffs, he also had one more assist than James in the regular season. This happened for the first time in LeBron’s 18-year-old NBA career. However, James had missed a major chunk of regular-season games due to an ankle injury and had played just 45 games as compared to Schroder’s 61.

But the Lakers are ready to bounce back in the coming season. Rob Pelinka and co. have been busy during the off-season trying to recruit players who can guide them to their 18th championship. This would make them the most successful NBA franchise of all time.

The Lakers have added 12 new players to their roster so far. Some top players like Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, and Russell Westbrook have joined them. With an unreal depth at their disposal in the coming season, it’ll be interesting to see how the Lakers perform.
