Ahead of the NBA season, the biggest talking point was the future of Ben Simmons. The 76ers point guard who had a horrendous post-season run was heavily criticized and was linked to multiple teams.
While the off-season is almost dormant right now, Simmons’ future is still up in the air. Both the parties have also been fairly quiet about their position making up for an amazing trade saga in the off-season.

NBA insider gives incredible update on Ben Simmons’ future
While the Simmons trade saga has been fairly quite, NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski recently dropped his trademark Woj bomb on twitter. According to Wojnarowski, the 25-year-old won’t be reporting to training camp which is starting in a couple of weeks.
Not only that, Simmons is unwilling to take part in a single game for the 76ers in the upcoming season. While the 76ers are adamant about not trading the 3-time All-Star and might possibly issue fines and sanctions, Simmons is willing to accept it all.

Simmons is clearly aware of sanctions available to organization to fine and suspend him, including withholding of salary. This is certainly some big news for 76ers fans all around the globe. While it is clear that the 25-year-old’s future is all-set, Philly finally have the chance to add the right player alongside Joel Embiid who has a perimeter based game.
But eyeing for such a move is certainly a big gamble for Philly. Given that Simmons is in a hefty contract and is entering his prime years, executive Daryl Morey is might consider a valuable All-Star and some drafts as the ideal trade deal. But considering the Australian’s dramatic exit, will teams be willing to take the risk?
