Jalen Green has made a record in the league that only Michael Jordan achieved before him. With his 30 point performance in the loss against the Celtics, Green joins Michael Jordan as the fastest rookie to score 30 points in a game.

Jalen Green is arguably the most athletic pick from the 2021 NBA Draft Class. His athleticism combined with his scoring ability made him a top-2 draft pick selected by the Houston Rockets. With a stellar individual performance in a hard-fought loss, Jalen Green has already put his name in the history books of the NBA. And considering it is with the likes of Michael Jordan, it was natural that he reacted like this when he was given this information.

When the reporter told him that he has accomplished this feat before Dwyane Wade and LeBron James did, he could not believe it. He said, “That’s crazy! Yeah, I mean, I don’t really know. That’s just a crazy thing to hear. Michael Jordan did it in three? Yeah that’s lit!”

Jalen Green looked relatively less stressed on the floor today. In the post-game interview, he mentioned that once he saw his three-point shot go down; he felt good. This resulted in more confidence on the floor.

He also beat the Rockets’ all-time record for 3s made as a rookie in a game. With 8 threes in today’s game, he was one three away from tying the NBA’s all-time record for the same statistic. Indeed, if his confidence continues with the same results, there’s no stopping him from breaking that record as well.
