He met Michael Jordan for the first time in his rookie season in 1996. However, another MJ had left him star-struck in his playing years: Michael Jackson. In a recent episode of Club Shay Shay, he opened up on his first meetings with Michael Jordan and Michael Jackson.
Allen Iverson revealed that he was ‘star-struck’ when he first saw Michael Jordan in his rookie campaign. He revealed this meeting during his Hall of Fame speech in 2016. Iverson had a great rookie season and was named Rookie of the Year.

“I was starstruck. He (Jordan) didn’t look real to me,” Allen Iverson said.

“I felt faint… I thought I was going to really pass out like one of them fans,” Iverson said.
“I’m like ‘okay now I understand’ what them fans be going through when they see him (Michael Jackson).”

Allen Iverson spent 10 seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers and was traded to Denver Nuggets in 2006. After stints with Detroit Pistons and Memphis Grizzlies, Iverson re-joined his former team.
Philadelphia 76ers has retired his number 3 jersey. He then joined Besiktas Basketbol in Turkey and retired in 2011.
