Since 1997, Michael Jordan has ensured his attendance at the Ryder Cup for 12 straight events. He is currently also attending the same event while cheering for his country. He recently spoke to NBC Sports about his obsession with this event.

“It’s the true competitive nature, Jordan explained. “It’s not about money. It’s about pride and representing your country. Hearing the fans cheering. To me, that’s intriguing and from a competitor standpoint–I absolutely love it.”
