Klay Thompson Gives Himself a 5 Word Reality Check as Warriors Lose 3rd Game in a Row Against Luka Doncic’s Mavs

Golden State Warriors lost their third straight game as they went done against the Mavericks at the American Airlines Center. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson starred for the Warriors with 21 and 16 points, respectively. However, that wasn’t enough to catch up with Luka Doncic’s Mavericks, who led by 14 points at half-time.

Dallas Mavericks had an incredible start to the game as they scored 68 points in the first half. The Warriors, on the other side, scored just 54. However, the Warriors started the third quarter well and cut the lead by six points. But it wasn’t enough as the Mavs hold on to win by 9 points.

Stephen Curry scored the most points (21) for the Warriors. However, Luka Doncic’s 41 points were enough for the Mavs to snatch an important home win. Klay Thompson played 28 mins and scored 16 points, which is low by his standards. Hence, Klay was disappointed by his game. And during the post-game interview, he admitted he needs to improve his shooting, and also that he had a bad game vs the Mavs.

After the loss vs Mavs, Klay appeared for the post-game interview. During the interview, he admitted that he has to be better at shooting. “I gotta make some shots,” Klay said.

“I can’t be airballing, shooting off the side of the backboard. I gotta be better. It’s on me. I did not play well tonight.”

While the Warriors lost, it’s good that Klay took some accountability. Steph Curry is also going through a shooting slump this season and the Splash Brothers need to bounce back quickly. It appears they’re missing Draymond Green, who is out injured. However, the Warriors have already lost three in a row and the gap between them and the Suns has increased further. They are now 7.5 games behind conference leaders Suns.
