High-flying Brooklyn Nets handed the Lakers their fifth consecutive loss as they won 122-115. Earlier this month, the Lakers were on a 3-game-winning run and it appeared that they’ve got their mojo back. Despite LeBron James being in top form for the last few weeks, the Lakers have failed to win since their OT win over the Mavericks.

James looked frustrated about the team’s last loss against the Spurs and it was visible during the post-game interview. James again ended the game with the most points versus the Nets, but it wasn’t enough to end the Lakers’ winless run. He recorded 39 points (game-high), 9 rebounds, and 7 assists.

In fact, James had more points against the Nets than all the other four starters combined at the Lakers. That is just outrageous from LeBron, who has had little help from others lately. For LeBron however, the team’s performances have always been above his own.

LeBron James reveals that he doesn’t care about his play if it comes in a loss

After scoring 39 points against the Nets, James appeared for the post-game interview. During the same, he was asked about how he is processing his own performances as compared to the team’s performances. To this, LeBron replied that he doesn’t care about his game if it ends in a loss to the team.

“I don’t really care about the way I play if it comes to a loss,” LeBron said during the post-game interview.

LeBron looked dejected when he answered that question. Anyone in his position would have reacted in a similar way. James has been delivering for the Lakers week after week and has bailed them out of tough situations. He has every reason to be frustrated. However, what’s amazing is he doesn’t allow it to affect his performance in the next game.
