

WNBA player Gabby Williams paid a tribute to the late Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant. As the WNBA league is set to resume after the break due to the Coronavirus pandemic, players came out with their sneakers and jerseys for the media day.

Williams came out with a custom pair of sneakers that had a picture of Gigi imprinted on them. The 23-year old is currently in her third year at the league. She plays as a power forward for the Chicago Sky who had drafted her in with the fourth overall pick in the 2018 WNBA draft.

Williams felt Gigi was destined to carry forward the legacy of Kobe Bryant
This isn’t the first time that Williams has remembered Kobe and Gigi. Not long after their death in a helicopter crash, Williams talked about how good Gigi was as a player.
Gigi and Kobe were headed for a basketball tournament at the Mamba Sports Academy when tragedy struck.

The WNBA will resume on July 25 with a game between Liberty and Storm. Chicago Sky play their first game against the Las Vegas Aces on the next day.
