LeBron James and Michael Jordan’s heart-melting meeting during the 75th-anniversary ceremony made every NBA fan ecstatic. However, it didn’t stop the GOAT debate from being discussed among the circles. Isiah Thomas, who had a feud with Jordan, feels LeBron should be above Jordan in the GOAT debate. Moreover, he feels Kareem Abdul-Jabbar should be in contention alongside James and not MJ.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, six-time MVP winner, spent the majority of his career with the Lakers. He is the all-time leading scorer in the NBA with 38, 387 points. Lakers star LeBron James is chasing the record and is behind Kareem and Karl Malone on the all-time list.

Isiah Thomas feels Kareem Abdul-Jabbar should be in the GOAT debate alongside LeBron James
Former Piston star Isiah Thomas recently appeared on ESPN for an interview. During the interview with Stephen A. Smith, he presented LeBron’s case for the GOAT debate. He also said that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar should also be in the conversation.
“When you talk about he (LeBron James) and Kareem in terms of their 20-year dominance over a sport. And then both of them being able to touch every single aspect of the statistical categories and be leaders in that category,” Isiah Thomas said on ESPN.

“You can’t be considered the GOAT and you don’t lead in no statistical category. When you talk about Kareem and you talk about LeBron James, that is the conversation in terms of, in my opinion, who’s the best to ever do it. Because from a winning% standpoint, from a statistical standpoint, from an impact on a game standpoint, any criteria of measurement that you want to use. These two are in the top five in almost every single category.”

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar spent 20 years in the NBA, winning six championships. He won his first championship with Milwaukee Bucks in 1971. The rest of the five championships came with the Lakers during the 80s. Kareem definitely has a case for the GOAT debate as he leads several top statistics in the NBA and had a legendary career.

However, Jordan was also a beast of his own during the 90s and dominated the decade. LeBron still has a few seasons in him and can win a few more championships. He is also chasing some big NBA records, which could make a stronger case for him to be the GOAT of the NBA.
