“My Boy Winning”: NBA Twitter Melts Down as Ben Simmons Engaged to British TV Host

The Ben Simmons saga was the biggest talking point of the summer. Simmons demanded a trade earlier last August, but the 76ers were adamant in getting an equally good player in return. That has led to a long standoff between the  76ers and Simmons. However, with so much going on with his career, Simmons has got engaged.

According to the Sun, 76ers star Ben Simmons and famous TV host Maya Jama are engaged secretly. Maya Jama is a 27-year-old TV host who has co-presented BBC One’s ‘Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer’ and ‘Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star’.

The couple almost made their relationship official last summer itself when they were pictured kissing at Wimbledon. According to a source from the Sun, ‘Ben adores Maya and has fallen head over heels for her. He picked up the ring on Jewelers’ Row in the diamond district of Philadelphia the day before he proposed.’

Ben Simmons previously dated Kendall Jenner. However, the pair split up in May 2019 with the saying that their relationship had ‘ran its course’. However, Kendall is currently dating another NBA superstar, Devin Booker. Simmons, on the other side, has been very close to Maya in the past year.

“He chose the ring himself and felt he knew exactly what she would want. Maya said yes and they’re both thrilled,” the source added.

Ben Simmons and Maya are having a good time together and reportedly spent the Christman together. Maya is a People’S Choice Award winner for the best-dressed star in the UK & Ireland in 2019.
