Kevin Durant is currently out due to a sprained MCL on his left knee. Despite being injured, he is leading the points per game stat in the NBA this season and is a top contender for the MVP.

According to reports, Kevin Durant will be out for around 4 to 6 weeks with the injury. However, the Nets haven’t provided a specific date for his return yet.

The Nets recently registered their 28th win of the season by beating the Wizards by 1 point on the road. Thankfully, the Nets have called up Kyrie Irving for the road games and he has been incredible in the absence of Durant.

NFL legend Shannon Sharpe declared Durant as the best player in the NBA in a recent episode of ‘Skip and Shannon: Undisputed’. Shannon said that he is the best for carrying Russell Westbrook for a decade.

“Kevin Durant should’ve been the best player in the NBA for having to deal with that for a decade,” Shannon Sharpe said.
