“My name is Kobe Bryant. I’m seventeen years old. I wasn’t invited to parties, you know, friendly gatherings on weekend. So on Fridays and Saturdays, I would go in my rec room with my basketball and basically dribble myself to sleep. And I think that was the best thing that could have happened to me. Because during those lonely hours in the rec room, I discovered the hunger, the motivation, and desire to be the best possible basketball player I could be,” a 17-year-old Kobe said in the video.

It was truly an inspiring message from Kobe. In fact, what’s more surprising is it’s coming from a 17-year-old Kobe. Without a doubt, it is clearly evident that Kobe’s success on the court was driven by his insane work ethic.
