Kobe Bryant helped the Lakers win five championships in the 20 seasons he played. Kobe’s first three championships came in the early 2000s. However, it was as late as 2009, when he became the most dominant force in the NBA. He won two more championships in 2009 and 2010.

Kobe guided the Lakers to win back-to-back championships in 2009 and 2010 and was the Finals MVP in both. Another player who played an important role alongside Kobe was Pau Gasol. Gasol and Kobe became one of the best duos in the Lakers‘ history.

While Kobe always said that he has no time for friends and instead focused on practicing, he had a really close relationship with Gasol. They were good friends off the court and Kobe’s tragic loss shook Gasol.
