A few days ago, the NBA went and announced their 75th Anniversary Team. Naturally, a few players were snubbed. However, Golden State Warriors icon Klay Thompson seems to have taken it a bit more harshly than others. Thompson let the world know about his frustration, with many fans and players rushing to his support.

The event seems to have blown over, though, as Draymond Green and Stephen Curry chose to prank Thompson over the matter. Now, as the Golden State Warriors celebrated Curry’s debut, the younger Splash Brother seems to have clapped back at him for the prank.

In the Warriors’ post remembering Curry’s NBA debut in 2009, they included a clip of a 21-year-old Curry walking to the arena for his first game. Young pre-debut Curry arrived in what looked like a Mercedes-Benz G Wagon wearing trousers, a white shirt, an unbuttoned black vest, and a flat/newsboy cap. Thompson seemed to focus on Curry’s outfit, comparing him to a Peaky Blinders character.

To those who might not know what the show is, Thompson added a photo in his very next story.

Peaky Blinders is a British drama and crime series set in 1919. Naturally, the outfits characters wear are more suited to the time. It can be said that the popular show, which is going on since 2013, has drawn attention to its fashion.

Apart from Thompson, other fans also compared Curry to a Peaky Blinder’s character. However, most of Dub Nation just reminisced Curry’s debut, looking back at his fantastic journey.

In an elaborate locker room prank, Green and Curry ended up hanging a No. 77 jersey in Thompson’s locker. Sometime later, Thompson and his teammates were seen training together while he wore the No. 77 jersey. “77!” Thompson said. “Best player of all time, baby!”

Curry laughs in the background, similar to how he did in the original prank video. Green, who was a part of the prank, was himself snubbed.

“You have to humor him with everything,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “His teammates obviously got that done to have a laugh with him”. He explained that while he did not quite understand the video at first, he found it ‘quite’ funny after someone explained it.
