LeBron James is 37, and he’s still in the MVP conversation for the 2021-22 season. He constantly gets the GOAT shouts from his fans and is often compared to NBA legend Michael Jordan.

His Airness won six championships in his career with Chicago Bulls. He was among the highest-paid player of his time. However, after his retirement, he became a successful businessman and is a billionaire now. Jordan owns an NBA team as well as a NASCAR team. While Jordan’s net worth lies that $2.2 billion, LeBron James isn’t far behind the former NBA great.

King James makes around $40 million in salaries and $50 million in endorsements every year. Former Pistons star Grant Hill has recently said that James has followed Michael Jordan’s footsteps when it comes to his career off the court.

Grant Hill feels LeBron James has taken Michael Jordan style sports marketing to a different level

Detroit Pistons legend Grant Hill recently appeared for an interview with the NBA. The interview was about LeBron James and Hill was asked how will the Lakers star be remembered after his retirement.

“I think certainly he will be remembered for his accomplishments on the court but also off the court,” Grant Hill said.

“I think he kind of took the mantle from the sports marketing standpoint that Michael Jordan had started. And he took it to another level. You know, owning the relationships, employing his friends, building platforms and businesses away from the court. That was huge.”

Grant Hill himself is one of the richest NBA players of all time and has a net worth of $250 million. Hill’s primary source of income is his endorsement deal with Fila. Hill knows how the sports management industry works and his praise of LeBron James is huge for the Lakers star.

LeBron James‘ net worth is $500 million currently, and he already has a $1 billion deal with Nike. He also has several investments in different businesses and has a small stake in the English soccer club, Liverpool FC.
