NBA Twitter Bashes Russell Westbrook After Finally Showing Accountability Following Another Terrible Game

Los Angeles Lakers are struggling this season and despite a monstrous roster, they failed to turn things around. The Lakers signed several top players in the off-season to fight for their 18th championship. Some of their signings such as Russell Westbrook have failed to perform consistently this season. However, Westbrook has recently acknowledged that he needs to be better.

2017 MVP, Westbrook, joined the Lakers from the Wizards last summer in exchange for three players and draft rights of Isaiah Jackson. While everyone thought this was a good deal for the Lakers, it turned out to be a nightmare for both Westbrook and the Lakers.

The Lakers have failed to live up to the hype they got during the off-season. They currently sit 9th in the Western Conference with a fear of missing out on the playoffs. Westbrook has failed to step up for the Lakers and has faced heavy criticism this season. However, he has finally admitted that he has to perform better. But as the season is close to getting over, fans are mad at him for his late accountability.

Lakers star Russell Westbrook has recently admitted that he needs to be ‘better overall’.

However, fans felt it was too late to admit and slammed him on Twitter.

Westbrook has already faced a lot of criticism from both fans and the media for underperforming this season. But many feel that is it Frank Vogel’s style of play that doesn’t suit him. However, ‘Brodie’ came out and admitted that what he’s currently doing is not something that is expected of him. While he probably wanted to be accountable, fans felt it was too late for that.

Westbrook is currently averaging 18.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game for the Lakers. He has played 60 games so far this season and his average is less than his career average.
