It surprised the NFL world to see Antonio Brown walk out on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the middle of a game. However, after the game, unlike the bashing he got on social media, his own teammates were rather supportive of him. Like the legendary quarterback, Tom Brady had a rather positive approach to this incident. He said he cared about Brown and hopes he gets the help he needs. Similarly, Shaquille O’Neal, the NBA legend supported Tom Brady’s take on the situation. Shaq went against the general narrative of criticizing Brown for what he did and rather wished him well for his future.

Shaquille O’Neal supports Tom Brady’s take on Antonio Brown
While talking about Antonio Brown‘s walk-out decision and what transpired after, Shaq had a very positive approach on the incident. He said, “One thing I’m not going to do is bash the brother. I’ve never met him. I know at one point he was one of the top athletes in the world. Something happened that we don’t know about. I don’t know if it was injured or not injured. But I’m not going to bash him and say he should have did this, he shouldn’t have did that. We all know he needed you know, something to get to 333,000. Did this many yards and that and you know for him to just walk away how he did? I don’t really have a comment. I just you know I know he’s a father. You know he has wonderful children. So I just wish him well on that aspect of his life.”

Further, he added that if there’s anybody who had the right to lash out at Brown, it was the legendary Tom Brady. And if he could be positive about this, makes one wonder why social media was going fanatic about him. Therefore, Shaquille O’Neal said, “I’m going to be with Tom on this one. We love this guy we care about this guy, we want to see him get help.”

What does this mean for Antonio Brown and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released Antonio Brown the very next day after he staged this walk-out. While the reasons are still unclear about why he left, he certainly hasn’t held back from bashing his former team. Brown recently revealed that he was forced to play with an injury and blamed his coach Bruce Arians for his exit. However, while there may have been more professional ways to deal with this conflict, for the team to certainly give up on him is certainly bound to make him angry.
