Shaquille O’Neal has had a successful NBA career, with four championships to his name. He won three with the Lakers and one with Miami Heat. Even after his retirement, he has been fairly successful as an analyst and media personality. Moreover, he has tasted success in business and investments.

Shaquille O’Neal recently appeared for an interview on ‘The GaryVee Audio Experience Podcast’. During the podcast, Gary Vaynerchuk asked him about the similarities between basketball and entrepreneurship.

“Your answer is teamwork,” Shaq replied.

“Oh, another answer is trust. The final answer is never micromanage. I am the leader, I do not micromanage my agents. I am the leader, I do not micromanage…You know my teammates, they’re not yes men, they’re my teammates. If I make a bad pass, even though I’m a Hall of Famer, they say Shaq made a bad pass.”

Everyone knows Shaq’s success in the business sector. However, very few know how he made millions from his investments and entrepreneurship. He has always been an omnipresent figure in the media but he spends an equal amount of time planning his investments. Shaq has been successful in the restaurant business, fitness franchise, tech, real estate, among others.
