After his retirement, Shaq makes around $60 million from his various businesses and endorsement deals. Back in 2015, Shaq had a plan of starting a law firm and even going to a law school.

Shaquille O’Neal opens up on going to law school and starting his own law firm
Shaq did an interview with Graham Bensinger back in 2015. During the interview, he talked about going back to LSU for graduation and his plans on pursuing a law degree in the future. Shaq also claimed that he wants to be the new Johnnie Cochran of law.

I’m the black Jerry West,” Shaq said. “I could put a hell of a team together. So my goal is to just get these lawyers. I got their own little law firm, put them together, and we make a hell of a partnership.”

“So, I’m thinking about law school. Not that I want to practice law, just want to have a law firm. I take everything. I want to be the new Johnnie Cochran of law.”
Johnnie Cochran was a famous American lawyer primarily known for representing Buffalo Bills legend O. J. Simpson. He has undertaken several high-profile cases during his time and his client list includes Sean Combs, Tupac Shakur, Todd Bridges, Jim Brown, Snoop Dogg, among others.

Cochran died in 2005. He was one of the most famous attorneys during his law career. He is still used as an example when it comes to law. No wonder why Shaq wanted to be the next Cochran.
