Stephen Curry Casually Calls Michael Jordan the NBA GOAT in a Golf Conversation

Many regard Michael Jordan as the greatest NBA player of all time. The GOAT debate among the NBA circles is something that can never end. However, not just fans, many NBA stars feel Michael Jordan is the GOAT.

Stephen Curry is one of the NBA stars who has a lot of respect for Jordan. Curry got the opportunity to interview Michael Jordan during the 2021 Ryder Cup.

The duo talked about their love for golf and many things during the interview. In fact, Curry took to Twitter to reveal that it was an ‘honor and privilege’ for him to interview Jordan. He also called Jordan the GOAT. Stephen Curry reiterated his statement in a recent interview.

Stephen Curry calls Michael Jordan the GOAT

Stephen Curry recently appeared for an interview with Sports Illustrated. He talked about his sneakers, the interview with Jordan, and NBA’s history. During the interview, the Warriors star was asked how he felt while interviewing Jordan. While answering this, Curry casually called Jordan the GOAT.

“He still has that bigger-than-life personality and presence and I don’t think they put it in the clip, but I think it is crazy that I am talking to the GOAT about golf on a golf course, in the middle of Wisconsin, talking about the Ryder Cup,” Curry said.

“Anytime you have something in common with him outside of basketball like our love for golf and just the competitive nature of it and those types of things, it was cool to hear his perspective. I wouldn’t say star-struck, but he still gives you that vibe like this is MJ.”

Curry and Jordan sat down during the 2021 Ryder Cup and brought a lot of attention to the golf event. It’s clear that Curry is a huge MJ fan and this meeting would have been huge for him. The interview was a part of NBC’s coverage for the 2021 Ryder Cup. Both Jordan and Curry are also big fans of golf.

Jordan’s passion for golf is very well documented and dates back decades. Curry has also played two Ellie Mae Classics, which is a PGA event. The duo is very passionate about the game of basketball and during the Ryder Cup, brought the same passion to golf.
