Emmanuel Acho picks Stephen Curry over Kevin Durant

“Many will say that the Warriors begged for Kevin Durant to arrive. I understand all of that. But I also understand that the Warriors won without Kevin Durant. I also understand that Kevin Durant never won without the Warriors. I also understand that if Steph Curry had the ego that would match his game, Kevin Durant never would have been a two-time Finals MVP. Because Kevin Durant probably wouldn’t have been in Golden State in the first place,” Emmanuel Acho said on Fox Sports’ ‘Speak for Yourself’.

“We know that Kevin Durant has not been able to make it work with other superstars. Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Draymond Green. So, Steph Curry’s greatest attribute is also his humility. Because his humility is as great as his talent. That is why to me, Steph Curry is a greater basketball player than Kevin Durant.”

Both Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant are not the top contenders for the MVP award this season. However, that could change if Steph could power the Warriors to the top of the Western Conference above the Suns. Durant, however, is out injured and is working on his comeback.
The Nets have been struggling in Durant’s absence. But if they manage to make it to the playoffs, they could mount a serious championship challenge with a healthy Durant.
