Barrett scored 13 points from 33 minutes and it was his three-pointer that gave the Knicks an important win. However, it was the Knicks’ star guard Evan Fournier, who started the comeback for the Knicks. The 29-year-old Frenchman scored 41 points and recorded 8 rebounds and 2 assists. He also played for the most minutes in the game (42).

Fournier has now tied J. R. Smith’s Knicks record of ten three-pointers while facing the Celtics. By doing this, he became the first player in the Knicks franchise to record 30-point games against the Boston side in a single season since Patrick Ewing who achieved a similar feat in 1996-97. Fournier has previously scored 32 points twice against the Celtics this season. While the Frenchman has been averaging 12.8 PPG this season in all games, his average against the Celtics is 35.
