The buzzer-beater eliminated the Thunder from the playoffs in five games. The score read 115-115 in the fifth game of the series with just 7 seconds left on the clock. Lillard waited for 6 seconds and took a step back and attempted a long 3-pointer from 37 yards. The ball went in and sent the Thunder home as Portland Trail Blazers won the series 4-1. During a recent Bio-Freeze commercial, Lillard couldn’t believe how far his series winner was.

The winner against the Thunder meant that Lillard finished the game with 50 points, his playoff career-high. He also scored ten three-pointers in the process, a franchise record. He was in top form in the 2018-19 playoffs. After sending the Thunder home, Lillard proved to be decisive against Denver Nuggets in the conference semi-finals as well. He scored 32 points in the sixth game to tie the series 3-3 for the Trail Blazers. Lillard scored 13 points in the ultimate game of the series against the Denver Nuggets. Portland Trail Blazers won the final game of the series to advance to the conference final faceoff against the Golden State Warriors.

Portland Trail Blazers lost their first game of the seven-game series against the Golden State Warriors. Lillard separated his ribs during the second game of the series, which the Trail Blazers lost as well. However, Lillard played the entire series through pain. But Portland lost the series in four straight games against the Warriors and it ended their fairytale run.
