Tom Brady has confirmed his retirement through his social media after spending 22 seasons in the NFL. He was around for so long and the whole sports community will miss him. Another player who had a long-lasting impact on sports was Kobe Bryant, who lost his life in a helicopter accident two years ago. Brady had a lot of respect for Kobe and once gave an emotional tribute to him.

Tom Brady’s emotional tribute to Kobe Bryant

Brady’s former team, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, once shared a video of his tribute to Kobe. Brady said that he always admired Kobe and expressed his emotions over Kobe’s tragic accident.

“Kobe was someone I always admired who was about the same age,” Brady stated. “Just watching him from afar, I was on the other side of the country, he was at the Lakers his whole career.”

“You see someone with so much to give whose life was taken from him. You know, it’s a very sad thing. I think a lot of people are still mourning.

He added, “What you really saw in the second part of his career was what he wanted to do in the community and how he wanted to make a difference with young people, certainly his daughter.”

This was truly emotional from Brady. Brady has now retired, but his tribute shows how much he admired Kobe. Kobe has surely left a long-lasting legacy on the entire sports world. While Brady and Kobe both played different sports, they had a huge impact on their respective game.
