Dallas Mavericks recently hosted the Lakers at home for their 28th match of the season. However, it didn’t go their way as Austin Reaves downed them in the final few seconds through an insane buzzer-beater. LeBron James had an incredible performance as well in Dallas as he scored 24 points in 43 minutes.

This was an exciting game, with both teams poised to improve their winning percentage. The game ended in a stalemate after the 2nd half and went into overtime. The score was level in the overtime as well, with just a few seconds remaining on the clock. Then came Austin Reaves and scored a crazy three-pointer before the final buzzer. LeBron James and Co. ran towards the 23-year-old to celebrate the win.

James made the headlines as well by scoring an insane dunk after being called foul. Moreover, fans compared that dunk to Michael Jordan. However, James was close to injuring his head while blocking a shot during the game against the Mavericks.

A video clip from the game against the Mavericks has been trending on social media where James’ head almost hit the backboard. Mavericks star Jalen Brunson, who scored 25 points, took a lap and shot during that particular moment. James rose high and blocked the shot, but his head hits the backboard while jumping.

Thankfully, James is fine now and there’s no danger. The Lakers are already struggling this season and have a lot of injuries. Injury to James could ruin their plans of winning their 18th championship.

James has been an integral part of the Lakers squad this season. Despite being 37, he has the most points per game (26.1) on the team. A win in Dallas was necessary for the Lakers as they have failed to maintain consistency this season. Now they have three back-to-back victories and can initiate a strong title challenge from now on.
