Scottie has finally shown the world that the purpose of this criticism over the last few days is not to just sell his book. He only expressed his dissatisfaction about it once the media were asking questions centered only around Michael.

However, one cannot deny that it seemed like a publicity move to involve Michael Jordan in an apparent beef right before the release of his book. Even when GQ released Scottie’s book excerpt, the focus of the piece was what he felt about Michael Jordan and the Last Dance.

Nevertheless, Pippen has in a way expressly clarified that he does not wish that one overshadows another. Even in a team and even in the release of his book, his disagreements with Michael are separate from the main object. In a team, the object is winning. And for Scottie now, the object is to sell his book, not publicize his dirty laundry with Michael.
