We know Kevin Durant for being brutal and straightforward. Be it on social media or on national television, he does not limit himself and his expressions. While some people may frown at it, he surely gives the NBA community some memorable moments. Around a year ago today, Barkley spoke to Kevin Durant about returning to the court after a long-term injury and related factors. Kevin Durant evidently did not see a question worthy of a long answer from Barkley, so he went with a simple response to his statement.

Of course, Barkley expected a longer response, so he waited. That resulted in this hilarious video that gets fans cracking even today.

Charles Barkley here hilariously says, “Man I had a serious announcement to make and y’all keep screwing around.” It is still an unforgettable moment how they roasted Durant after the interview.

How is Charles Barkley’s relationship with Kevin Durant?

While Charles Barkley and Kevin Durant have a professional relationship, they were clearly not so fond of each other. It all possibly started in 2019 when Barkley said that Durant doesn’t have what it takes to play in Brooklyn. Two years later, Kevin Durant is doing wonders in Brooklyn with his MVP caliber performance.

Nevertheless, this feud continued after Durant called Barkley an idiot for making some questionable suggestions at the start of the pandemic. This continued with the latter taking offense and clearly advocating that the Nets do not have what it takes to win it all.

Whether these two have actually settled their differences is a different question. Barkley continues to host NBA on TnT with his mates Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson. Kevin Durant is having an MVP caliber season where he is proving Barkley wrong about what he can achieve with Brooklyn.
