Chicago Bulls were a force to reckon with during the 90s and won six championships in the process. Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen formed one of the best duos in the history of the game and helped the Bulls in winning those titles. The two had a beautiful connection in the court; however, they weren’t the best of friends off the court.

Scottie Pippen has been in the headlines recently for unleashing criticism towards Jordan. Pippen wasn’t happy with how he was portrayed in ‘The Last Dance’ and has discussed Jordan in his latest book ‘Unguarded’.

The duo’s feud has grown deeper in the last few years and Jordan is yet to react to Pippen’s comments. Pippen has taken shots at Jordan yet against as he feels, he would beat MJ in golf as well.

Scottie Pippen claims he could beat Michael Jordan in golf ‘too’

Former Bulls star Scottie Pippen recently appeared for an interview on Golf.com. During the interview, Pippen was asked about a story from his rookie season of Jordan buying him golf clubs with the motive of beating him. Pippen, responds by saying that he would have beaten MJ in golf as well.

“That is all true,” Pippen confirms the story.

“And he’s lucky that I had a bad back my rookie year. I would have beat him at golf, too. But we’ve never played a round of golf together,” Pippen added.

The interviewer then asks Pippen, who would win between him and Jordan at golf today. To this, Pippen said: “Oh, I don’t know. My game is not all that right now.”

Pippen’s memoir ‘Unguarded’ doesn’t show Michael Jordan in a positive light. The way Pippen and Jordan played, no one believed when Pippen said that they were ‘never close’. While Jordan was the best player in the team, Pippen was the most influential player apart from Jordan in all the six championships, the Bulls won. Jordan hasn’t responded to any of Pippen’s comments so far, but it’ll be interesting to see when will Jordan break his silence over this.
