‘Become Me’- Harry Kane Explains Celebration Emote Coming to Fortnite Ahead of Euros 2020

Soccer enthusiasts have a treat coming in for them with the Euro cup on its way. The best European nations compete against each other to claim the championship. Fortunately, the excitement isn’t limited to those who love soccer. Epic Games also wants players to have a piece of the Euro Cup as they play Fortnite.

Two new character bundles and an in-game event with a massive prize pool are the perfect way for fans to enjoy the cup in Fortnite. They can show their love and support for the game by buying either of these bundles. Moreover, the participants also have a shot at winning a fresh emoticon and spray.

Harry Kane and Marco Reus join the Fortnite Icon Series

England soccer team’s captain Harry Kane has been an ardent Fortnite fan for a while now. The soccer star even played with popular Twitch streamer Ninja on multiple occasions. Therefore, ahead of the Euro 2020, Epic Games decided to reward Kane for loyalty and wish him good luck for the tournament by adding a character skin inspired by the captain himself.

As the Harry Kane bundle arrives with the Icon Series skin and Sweet Victory Emote and Back Bling, Fortnite posted a message on Twitter from the star himself. “Join me and become me”, says Kane as he announces his partnership with the Battle Royale game and asks fans to show some support for their favorite soccer team.

Kane is joined by Marco Reus, two-time German Player of the Year, who also gets his own Fortnite Icon Series skin. His bundle will include the skin, the Three Wise Monkeys Emote, and Back Bling. Both the bundles will be available in the shop starting June 11 at 8 pm ET.

Play the Euro 2020 Cup in-game and get a chance to win a part of $50,000

The Icon Series skins are not the only thing coming to celebrate the soccer event in Chapter 2 Season 7 of Fortnite. In fact, Epic Games is also hosting a tournament with a total prize pool of $50,000. The cup, starting June 16, will span 2 days, with one round each day. Round one will be the qualifier, and the top players from round two will receive a part of the prize money.

  • Europe, NA East, Na West, Brazil – Top 1,000 players from each region will advance from Round 1 to Round 2.
  • Middle East, Asia, Oceania – Top 500 players from each region will advance from Round 1 to Round 2.

At the conclusion of Round 2, the top-performing players in each region will earn a share of the $50,000 prize pool. Additionally, all players who earn at least 10 points will receive the Winner’s Cup Emoticon, and all players who earn at least 20 points will receive the Kick it! Spray.

Following Neymar Jr. in Chapter 2 Season 6, Kane and Reus are the latest soccer stars to appear in Fortnite. With so many other popular nations taking part in the tournament, Epic Games might add a few more players to the game. However, it’s highly uncertain whether players will enjoy having so many soccer stars in the game. On the other hand, they are certainly going to enjoy the $50,000 tournament.
