Cris Cyborg excited for 2021
The Brazilian made her Bellator debut in 2020 following her release from the UFC. She would compete for the featherweight title in her first fight in the promotion against champion Julia Budd and proved her dominance by emerging victorious. Cyborg fought again in October as Bellator resumed its shows, defending her title against Arlene Blencowe.

Although no longer in the UFC, Cyborg has had a great first year in her new promotion. She has regained her dominance after her crushing title loss to UFC queen Amanda Nunes. With victories over Felicia Spencer (in the UFC) as well as Budd and Blencowe, Cyborg is looking forward to 2021.
Possible Opponents for Cyborg
Bellator will look to strengthen its women’s 145-pound division in 2021. The dream rematch with Amanda Nunes has little to no chances of materializing because of Dana White’s vision of UFC being self-sufficient. However, Cat Zingano could be a possible opponent for the Brazilian.
‘Alpha’ Cat moved to Bellator from the UFC just like Cyborg. However, unlike Cyborg, the American was inactive for the entirety of 2019 due to injury.

She returned to the Bellator cage this October and was able to get a unanimous decision win over Gabrielle Holloway in her first fight since 2018.
PFL star Kayla Harrison, who has been trying to get down to 145, can be another possible opponent for Cyborg. While not as experienced as the Brazilian, Harrison brings an Olympic pedigree to her game along with her physicality.
