Triggered by Bellator President Scott Coker’s words, former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum went on a Twitter rampage.

Prior to Bellator 244: Ryan Bader vs Vadim Nemkov, Coker gave an update on the status of Fedor Emelianenko and  referred to him as the “Greatest Heavyweight of All Time.”

“Fedor has to fight in front of the fans, right? I think that’s the reason you don’t see all the MMA fans fighting right now because they need the fans there to support them. Fedor’s the same way, he’s the Greatest Heavyweight of All Time. For me, it’d be a shame to fight in an arena where there is nobody to watch his last two fights.”

Apparently, that was enough to rub Werdum the wrong way. The Brazilian fighter penned his frustration on Twitter. In his tweet, Werdum said that if they fight again, he will knock Fedor out.

When Werdum and Fedor collided in 2010, the former submitted “The Last Emperor” in the first round. However, it is worth noting that “Vai Cavalo” almost got finished before his submission victory. Unfortunately, the much-anticipated rematch never happened.

And it did not end there. Werdum followed up with another tweet and called Fedor his son.

Fabricio Werdum goes after his former foes

Surprisingly, Werdum’s Twitter assault did not stop there; he went after the opponents he has beaten in the past.

Ryan Bader, who lost his light heavyweight belt to Vadim Nemkov (Fedor’s protege) at Bellator 244, was not spared either. Werdum said he can father Bader too.

Fabricio Werdum last competed against Alexander Gustafsson at UFC on ESPN: Whittaker vs. Till. “Vai Cavalo” finished the Swedish fighter in the first round via an armbar. As of now, the 43-year-old veteran is a free agent. He has indicated that he won’t re-sign with the UFC. Hence, making the rematch with Fedor Emelianenko a possibility.
