Adel Taarabt has agreed terms with the Portuguese Champions Benfica. QPR winger Adel Taarabt has joined Benfica in a five-year deal for free. He has been released by Chris Ramsey as part of their big summer clear out after they got relegated. The summer revamp includes the exit of Rio Ferdinand, Joey Barton and more.
Benfica’s in-house television channel confirmed the free transfer of the once highly-rated 26-year-old, after Chris Ramsey’s team released him.

The 26-year old Moroccan winger has had a pretty controversial 6 years with the English club. During his time at the club he had been on loan to Fulham and AC Milan. The winger has left the English Second Division team to join the Portuguese champions. The former Tottenham winger has made just 7 appearances for Queens Park Rangers in 2015.

Overall, he has played 65 matches and scored just 7 times while wearing the Rangers’ outfit.

The roller-coaster ride seems to be ending for the player as he seeks to achieve new heights with the Portuguese champions, ditching the relegated side QPR.
How well will the Moroccan do in Portugal, only time will tell.
