The Chelsea football team is an English professional team which competes in the Premier League. It was first founded in 1905 and is based in Fulham City. It's one of the most successful clubs in English football history.

"The Blues", as they're commonly regarded by their fans, were first founded by Gus Mears. And they won their first major trophy back in 1955. However, their most successful period has taken place under the ownership of Roman Abramovich.

He took over Chelsea FC in 2003 and has since brought a plethora of trophies to the Stamford Bridge, their home stadium. In their history, Chelsea have won over thirty championships, including six league titles and five European trophies. Though five of the six league championships and three of the five European titles were won in the Abramovich Era.

Their most successful manager have been Jose Mourinho, who has won eight titles in his two stints at Stamford Bridge. Their current manager, Frank Lampard is regarded as their most legendary figure along with the likes of John Terry, Didier Drogba, David Webb, John Hollins, and Pat Nevin.

In 2016, Chelsea was ranked as the seventh most valuable football club in the world £1.15 billion, by Forbes magazine. As of 2016, Chelsea are ranked eighth in the Deloitte Football Money League with annual commercial revenue of £322.59 million.

<strong>Brief History</strong>

Manchester United is regarded as one of the oldest football clubs in the Premier League. The team was formed in 1878, but under the name Newton Heath LYR Football Club. It was only in 1902 that it was officially named Manchester United.

The Red Devils are arguably the most successful team in the Premier League. This was even back when the League was known as the Football League.

From 1945 onward, after the second World War, it was also the beginning of one of the greatest eras of Manchester United. In other words, it was the era of the 'Busby Babes'. However, in 1958, the rampant Busby Babes were halted in their tracks, by the Munich Air disaster, which claimed the lives of eight players. However, Matt Busby managed to rebuild the team once again.

Then, from 1986 to 2013, the next great Manchester United era began. Namely, the Sir Alex Ferguson era, where the Red Devils were dominant. Although they had a sluggish start, they came into their own in the 1990s.

Currently, after going through a few managers like David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho. Finally, the team has settled with United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Comprising of four divisions until 1991, the top division of English football split up and all the teams in the top division, after multiple discussions with the football authorities and television broadcasters, formed the Premier League in 1992.

The competition format remained the same, with three clubs relegated and three clubs promoted every season, and the top four clubs in the Premier League would qualify for the Champions League.

The main reason for the change in approach was to bring in more money into the game. The first broadcast rights for the Premier League was to be won at £304 million over five years by Sky UK. The Premier League is the most-watched sports league in the world, broadcast in 212 territories to 643 million homes and a potential TV audience of 4.7 billion people.

<h2><strong>Transfer Window</strong></h2>
The Premier League has two transfer windows- Summer and Winter, where clubs can buy players. The summer transfer window generally over two months long, which begins and ends before the start of the season, while the winter transfer window is the mid-season window, which lasts the month of January. The 2019-20 Premier League transfer window scheduled from May 16 to August 8 2019.
<h2><strong>Winter break</strong></h2>
The 2019-20 Premier League is the first season to incorporate a winter break, which has always been included in major leagues across the Europe. This came up after much debate about the Premier clubs having a disadvantage in the UEFA Champions League over clubs from other leagues, who come fresh from a winter break.

In February 2020, the Premier League will see one round of matches played over two weekends, with five matches on the weekend commencing February 8, and five on the weekend commencing on February 15.

Prize money is drawn from broadcast revenue - TV money - and a team's monetary health come the end of the season depends on how many televised games they are involved in, as well as their final position.

<strong>Jesse Lingard</strong>

English player Jesse Lingard has been a Red Devil for almost his entire footballing career. The 26-year old joined the youth academy at the age of 7 before moving up the ranks rapidly. It was only during the 2011 season that he finally broke into the Manchester United squad. However, he only made it as far as the reserves bench on a number of occasions, as Sir Alex Ferguson left him out.

A year later, he was loaned off to Leicester City, along with Michael Keane in order to get more playing time. In all, he made a grand total of five appearances for Leicester until January 2013.

After his loan spell, Jesse Lingard was recalled and included in United’s pre-season tour and finally played his first game for them, under David Moyes. Lingard went on to finish as top scorer in the tour, but it wasn’t enough to remain with the Red Devils, being loaned out yet again.

This time, he was in Birmingham, where he thrived. During a Championship match against Sheffield Wednesday, he scored a hat-trick within the span of 13 minutes. After his Birmingham stint, he was recalled, and carted off almost immediately to Brighton and Hove Albion.

In the 2014-15 season, Lingard was subbed onto the field and helped United defeat Liverpool 3-1 during the International Champions Cup Final. Finally, he reunited with Manchester United and not loaned off to another team in 2015. He would remain with the United squad for the team of his career up till the current season, under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

<strong>On-pitch Achievements</strong>

Out of 167 appearances for Manchester United, Jesse Lingard has netted 29 goals, with his overall tally at 41 in 217 appearances. The 26-year old has also scored four goals in an England jersey, with all four coming in 2018 and one of them during the World Cup. During his time in Manchester United, Jesse Lingard has helped the team to the 2015-16 FA Cup, 2016,17 EFL Cup, the 2016 FA Community Shield and the 2016-17 Europa League championships.

<strong>Jesse Lingard’s Net Worth, Salary and Endorsement</strong>

The English right-winger has built up quite a brand name for himself. He has the J-Lingz clothing range, aftershave and various accessories. According to rough estimates, Lingard is worth around £11 million. Also, in terms of salary, he earns around £100,000 a week.

<strong>Foundations and Charity</strong>

Back in 2017, when a terrorist attack hit the Manchester Arena, Lingard and a few of his teammates visited the wounded, most of whom were children. He even attended the One Love Manchester Concert, which raised around £2 million.
