The 21-year-old grabbed the Gold Medal once again at the Halfpipe finals at the Winter Olympics and made it into history. The defending champion rightly defended her medal, taking the gold home again.

From the previous Olympics to this, Kim has been through her own share of struggles. The then young kid found it very hard to deal with the spotlight and the pressure that came with it.

Apart from her family, it was her boyfriend Evan Berle, who stood by Chloe in times of need and helped her overcome various obstacles. Kim has revealed that Berle made a big sacrifice to help her get through it all.

On February 1oth, Chloe Kim dominated the halfpipe. She scored 94.00 on her first run itself. It was clear that she was going to be hard to beat. And rightly so, Kim had already won the Gold on her first run itself.

This being her 2nd Gold medal, Chloe Kim has proved that she is here to stay. This made her the first woman in history to win back-to-back golds in snowboarding.

Kim has now revealed the important role that her boyfriend Evan Berle played in her journey to Gold. Berle made a supreme sacrifice earlier to help Kim get through all that she was handling.

“He actually took a quarter off of school, his winter quarter off of school, to support me on this journey. And so he just put himself on hold to support me, and it’s been amazing,” said Kim.

Chloe added that Evan was the best thing to happen to her and she just can’t wait to see him once she is back home.

“He has been the best thing that’s ever happened to me, just so supportive, so loving. I’m so grateful for him and I can’t wait to see him.”

Kim is grateful to have met Berle and thankful for all the love that he showers upon her. Evan Berle is himself a skateboarder and understands how pressure can take a toll on athletes. He makes sure to be there for Kim, whenever she needs him.

After Kim won her 2nd Gold medal, Evan Berle quickly took to his Instagram to share how proud he was of his girlfriend.

He thanked Chloe for letting him be a part of her life and this beautiful journey.

“Two years you and I have been on this journey together, and I have seen you conquer so many obstacles and put in so much work to make this happen,”  wrote Evan Berle.

Evan knows how hard Chloe has worked for this moment; to stand on the podium and be honored with the Gold medal. He has stood by her like a rock and will continue to do so.
