Bianca Andreescu Left in Tears After Receiving an Emotional Letter From Two Canadian Girls

Rising tennis sensation Bianca Andreescu inspired millions after she triumphed at the US Open 2019 in September. The Mississauga native made an impact on the young Canadians across the country and the magnitude of the veneration for the 19-year-old was shown in a heart-touching letter that Andreescu received from a father of two young girls – which brought the Canadian star to tears.

Bianca Andreescu was on a flight when a stranger left her a letter written on a napkin and quickly walked away. Andreescu also shared the photo of the handwritten letter on social media on Tuesday as she thanked the two Canadian girls and wished if she could know who it was.

The letter to Andreescu, which was signed off simply as being from “A Canadian”, read: “Thank you, I have two young daughters. You have already inspired them deeply. Neither are tennis players but they both know what you have done. Because of you, they know that nothing is impossible if they want it enough. As a parent, I am so grateful for the positive impact you have made on my kids’ life. Thank you, and may your journey bring you as much joy as you have brought others.”

Bianca Andreescu revealed on social media that the note made her emotional in the middle of the flight. Andreescu explained that she doesn’t realize the impact that she has made on other people’s lives and receiving a note like this makes her feel fulfilled.

“The best thing about what I do is this,” she posted on social media. “Someone on the plane wrote a very nice message on a napkin and gave it to me. It brought tears to my eyes because sometimes I don’t understand the impact that I’ve made and continue to make in people’s lives by accomplishing what I’ve accomplished. Or acting how I act. So receiving this makes me feel so fulfilled.”

She concluded: “I’ve always wanted to do good in this world somehow and have a positive impact on people’s lives. This isn’t where it ends tho, I want to continue to do so in much bigger ways. I’m very grateful to have a platform in which I can achieve that. So thank you to the guy that wrote me this and to everyone who has sent me a mail or message requests. I’m beyond grateful.”

The US Open 2019 champion rose to the world No.4 with her recent success at WTA Tour. Her promotion up the WTA rankings saw her jump her compatriot and close friend Eugenie Bouchard’s No. 5 ranking milestone as the highest-ranked Canadian female player of all time.
