The World Number 24 WTA player, Bianca Andreescu was mocked by her Instagram followers. There were texts from her fans which read, “I’m not the drama queen, you are,” to which she replied, “Ha.” “Was that enough drama for you?”, she responded, “Hahahaha”. “There’s the trophy you didn’t win, Angie,” Bianca Andreescu took a bait, “So many of these lmaoooo.”

With the changing times, the inception of social media has certainly brought the fans and players closer to each other. The athletes have a tough time training, every single day of their careers and they put themselves out to win matches on the circuit. The medical timeout by Bianca Andreescu against Kerber was due to her shoulder soars and her muscles were brutally beating. It is reasonable to call out for a timeout during such conditions and making a fuss out of it makes no sense.

In general, the tennis professionals retire from their matches when an inevitable situation bounces upon them and indeed, it is disappointing for all tennis players to carry such an action. Andreescu’s retirement in the pre-quarters of the Miami Open was due to the same reason and which emphatically effected her match winning-streak of number ten.

These parameters need to put into consideration before the public makes a mountain out of a mole-hill. Kerber instinctively blabbered something out of her frustration due to the loss, however, in this case, it is futile to add fuel to that fire.
