Black Ops Cold War Disc Version Is Playable Before the Official Launch

Just a couple of days remain till Call of Duty launches their latest title, Black Ops Cold War. Those who have pre-ordered and pre-loaded the game can’t wait to get started on it. While players with digital copies will have to wait for the launch, there is good news for those who’ve gone down the disc path.

The ones who paid the extra buck for the disc edition of the PS5 are in for a treat. Treyarch recently released a patch for Black Ops Cold War that will allow users who own an early disc copy of the game to play it offline.

The patch will allow users to access a sizeable amount of content from the game. Therefore, it is only natural that most of them are going to share content from the most awaited game of the year online before others can play it. TheGamingRevolution broke the news to the internet but urged people not to post any leaks. Moreover, the channel also promised it won’t post anything either.

Apart from the offline campaign, there is a lot of content that might appear in Cold War. This comes after the recent Call of Duty cross-studio collaboration. Activision has integrated the engines and weapons mechanics of Cold War with Warzone. Moreover, they have also linked the player and battle pass progression of both the games.

Finally, Black Ops Cold War will also see the return of the popular Prestige mode from the previous Call of Duty games. Talking about things that are coming back, the developers have also added an option to change the background music in Cold War. The playlist features music from the old Call of Duty games that will surely take players on a nostalgic trip!
