Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War released in November 2020 and has been an astounding success so far. Treyarch released Season One on December 16 and introduced a ton of new content in the game through it. The mid-season update rolls out on January 14, and the developer is leaving no stone unturned to hype it.
Even though Zombies mode is a major reason behind the success of Black Ops Cold War, it has been lacking new content ever since the game’s release. Up til now, players have only witnessed the Die Maschine map, and have been eagerly waiting for a new area to take on Zombies.

Treyarch hints towards Element 115 in Black Ops Cold War Zombies
A recent tweet by Treyarch reminds the community to check the calendar because 115 Day arrives next week. January 15, better known as 115 Day, is a traditional date in which the developer releases new content for the Zombies mode in the latest installment of the Call of Duty franchise.

115 day is also a reference to Element 115 that frequently appears in Call of Duty Black Ops Series and Call of Duty Online. It is the fabric of the universe that keeps everything intact and plays a huge role in the Zombies storyline. While a lot of new players did not understand this reference, veterans could decode it in no time.
The latest patch notes released by Treyarch only confirmed the arrival of the limited-time Cranked mode, where “every zombie killed resets the timer counting down to your demise”.
However, another tweet by the developer now hints towards “more Zombies goodies” besides the LTM.

This is the first time that Treyarch has teased new content for Zombies mode; hence, it is safe to assume that the upcoming update will surprise the fans. Having said that, a new Zombies map arriving next week still seems like a far-off possibility.

Season Two will most probably release in February 2021, and the next Zombies map will arrive with it. As per fan theories, this map is based on the Dong Hoi region in Vietnam. Dong Hoi is a coastal city; naturally, this map might depict the ocean and surround the players with woods.
