Jon Jones has done it again. Recently, the top-ranked pound for pound UFC fighter was arrested on four different counts. These include aggravated DWI, negligent use of firearms, possession of an open container, and no proof of insurance in the vehicle. Jones’ arrest comes just 2 months after he believed that his run-ins with the law were over.
The Light Heavyweight Champion was arrested in New Mexico after Officer Brown responded to reports of a single gunshot. On reaching the scene, he observed 2 people- one in the driver’s seat and another person on the sidewalk. According to the policeman, there was no one else in the area.

Brown revealed that an inventory of Jones’ vehicle led him to discover a sound round just outside the driver’s door. A black handgun was later found beneath the driver’s seat. Police said they would test Jones’ gun to determine whether it was used in any other crime.
The UFC issued a statement saying that they were aware of Jones’ latest transgressions. “We have been in contact with Jones’s management team and are currently gathering information.” Jones is no stranger to legal issues. He was previously charged with a DWI 8 years ago. 3 years later, in 2015, he was convicted of a hit and run charge. Last October too, he pled no contest to disorderly conduct.
