Among the most notable works of the bodybuilder turned Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger was the 1994 blockbuster, True Lies. The movie collected a whopping $365.3 million worldwide, and besides that, the cast had super fun making it. Hence, filled with admiration for the esteemed actress and Arnold’s co-star in the movie, Jamie Lee Curtis, he publicly hailed her work after 29 years of the film’s making. 

An interview once covered a marked instance from Curtis’s acting career. She received her Hollywood Walk of Fame star and expressed her exhilaration at the event. Moreover, Arnold also attended the event and gave a brief heartfelt speech to the actress.

The 76-year-old athlete not only attended the marked event but also expressed his admiration for Jamie in his speech. After noting their tight bond of friendship, Arnold hailed her as the “most extraordinary actress” that he had ever worked with. Apart from that, the actor also acknowledged Curtis’s great work ethic with an intriguing statement.

“I mean this is a serious serious player that can kick some serious a**. I’m a good friend of Jamie Lee Curtis and I had the pleasure of working with her in True Lies,” the former athlete said in the interview with Entertainment Tonight. Whereas, speaking of Jamie, she opened up about her wish to make a sequel to True Lies with Arnold.

“I walked up to him and I’m like ‘dude, why aren’t we doing another movie?’” Curtis added later in the interview. While the movie was super-hit and the cast was hooked on the great teamwork, there were some aspects that made Curtis anxious. She once revealed how a bold scene got her questioning her diet and fitness routine.

Curtis was scheduled for a striptease scene quite early in the movie. Moreover, she had not been following a proper diet to appear fit for the scene. Thus, she had to reconsider her eating habits and also prepare for the scene to make it realistic. The actress once revealed in an interview that the absence of a choreographer simply made the task harder, while all Arnold had to do in the scene, was sit on a chair and withstand a few kicks from Curtis.

“It was very early on in the shooting schedule, which made me a little anxious because it meant I should probably stop eating whatever the f*ck I was eating and maybe do a couple of sit-ups, but I didn’t have time. There was no choreographer, and we only rehearsed it in the sense that we were made aware of the camera placement and marks to hit”, she said in the interview.

Nevertheless, it is worth noting that Jamie was the perfect fit for the role since it was a time when such scenes weren’t the norm. Therefore, only an actress as empowered as her could’ve aced the scene. Probably why Arnold raved about her serious a**-kicking character.
